Author’s Instructions

Guidelines for Manuscript Preparation

Authors are strongly encouraged to submit manuscripts online. Please email your articles to: [email protected].

 

Formatting Requirements:

  • Manuscripts should be typed or prepared using a word processor, with all material double-spaced, on one side of letter-sized paper, and with suitably wide margins.
  • All pages must be numbered consecutively, starting from page 1.
  • The font should be Times New Roman.
    • Font size 12 for the body of the manuscript.
    • Font size 14 for subheadings.
    • Font size 16 for the title of the article.

 

Tables and Figures:

  • Tables and figures should be numbered serially.
  • Legends for illustrations should be inserted directly in the manuscript.
  • Tables and figures should be placed near their first mention in the text.
  • All tables and figures must be referenced within the manuscript.

 

Title Page:

The title page should include the following elements:

  1. Title of the article.
  2. Full name(s) and initial(s) of author(s) (preferably with first names spelled out).
  3. Affiliation(s) of author(s).
  4. Footnotes to the contribution title.
  5. Name, address, telephone number, fax number, and email address of the corresponding author.

 

Abstract:

Each article should be preceded by a succinct abstract of up to 250 words, which highlights the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of the paper.

 

Keywords:

To help identify the subjects under which the article may be indexed, please provide 6-10 keywords.

 

Illustrations:

  • Illustrations should be suitable for reproduction and should clarify or condense the text.
  • Information provided in figure legends should not be repeated in the text.
  • Figures and graphs must always be mentioned in the text and numbered with Arabic numerals.
  • Preferred file formats for illustrations include .tif and .jpg.

 

References:

  • In the text, references to the literature should be cited by author and year.
    • If there are two authors, both should be named.
    • If there are three or more authors, only the first author’s name should be listed followed by “et al.”
  • The reference list at the end of the paper should include only those works mentioned in the text and should be arranged alphabetically by the first author’s last name.

Example references:

  • For journal articles:
    Moeran, Brian (2012), “A Business Anthropological Approach to the Study of Values: Evaluative Practices in Ceramic Art,” Culture and Organization, Vol. 18, No. 3, pp. 195-210.

  • For books:
    Harrison, Charles and Paul Wood (1993), Art in Theory 1900-1990, Hoboken, NJ: Wiley-Blackwell.

 

Abbreviations, Symbols, and Units:

All abbreviations, symbols, and units must be defined upon their first mention in the title, abstract, and within the text.

 

Page Limits:

  • Research papers should be 7-10 pages.
  • Review papers can extend from 15-30 pages.
  • Short communications should not exceed 5 pages.

 

Publication Fee:

    • The publication fee is payable only if a manuscript is accepted for publication.
    • There is no additional charge for color figures, and no submission charge.
    • The publication fee is ₹1000 for research papers, review papers, and short communications.
